Wilton Castle · About

A castle cared for.
A welcome with a story.

Wilton is a self-catering castle stay shaped by a family’s determination to give a remarkable place a future.

More than a restoration

A family connection.
A new chapter.

The castle has been part of the family’s story since the 1920s. For Sean Windsor, bringing it back to life was a deeply personal undertaking: his grandfather had been the estate’s manager in 1923.

Over a decade of restoration, a building that had stood in ruins for more than eighty years became a place where guests could once again stay. That sense of care remains at the heart of Wilton.

Make yourself at home

Your time.
Your table.
Your corner of the castle.

Self-catering gives your stay its own rhythm. Keep the morning to yourself, make a meal in your private kitchen, and gather in your sitting room after a day exploring.

Couples can choose an individual suite. Families and friends can take several, or all four together. You don’t need a large party to enjoy the experience of staying in a genuine Irish castle.
